Hey Brunch Lovers, Here Are ETL’s Top 11 NYC Spots

The last year and a half has been rough on all of us. But now that most of us are vaccinated and it’s post pandemic life, we are more open to enjoying everything NYC has to offer. Not going to lie, the prospect of daytime drinking and dining with friends is pretty damn amazing. Keep reading to find out our top 11 favorite (not in any particular order) brunch spots!

 

CHEZ MA TANTE (Located in Greenpoint)

Chez Ma Tante is a great brunch spot for Europe lovers! The seemingly simple menu has something for most people including oysters, quiche Lorraine, swordfish with beans and eggs, an egg and sausage sandwich, and pancakes. And that’s just the beginning! 

 

BANTER (Locations in Greenwich Village, West Village)

We love a good Australian restaurant. This laid back, artsy spot is a must go! From their acai smoothie bowl to delicious banana bread, this laid back, artsy spot is offering a lot for Newyorkers!

 

LIL FRANKIE’S (Located in East Village)

If you’re looking for an irresistible brunch place, we got you. This cash-only restaurant offers many delicious options ranging from black-truffle pizza to delicious omelettes! OH if you’re looking to have some drinks as well they also have a 3 for 1 drinks deal. Enjoy!

 

BUVETTE (Located West Village)

This is the ultimate brunch spot for French food lovers. The ambiance is perfectly intimate and elegant with a dose of French sophistication. WHen it comes to the food, their menu varies from sandwiches to eggs, lattes to bellinis. You’ll be happily overwhelmed with the options! 

 

DANTE (Locations in Greenwich Village, West Village)

Not only elegant but also high end, Dante is so amazing that it never has any availability. Some of everyone’s favorites include their draught negronis, their Campari-and-fresh-orange juice drink called the Garibaldi, and the Prosecco creation known as the “negroni sbagliato.” Pair your drink choice with a breakfast flatbread or almond milk pancakes and you’ll be good to go.

 

JACK’S WIFE FREDA (Locations in Soho, West Village, Chelsea)

When we say brunch, NYC says Jack’s Wife Freda and once again the Newyorkers are not wrong. This famous brunch spot is a lively all-day bistro presenting us with their delicious American-Mediterranean cooking and classic cocktails in understated digs. Trust us, their shakshuka is to die for!

 

MAMAN (Locations in all over Manhattan and BK)

If you’re in need of something quick but groundbreaking, you need Maman! The restaurant is not only cute but also very calming. This amazing café, bakery, and restaurant will not disappoint. Their smashed avocado tartine and chocolate chip cookies are to die for!

 

GOOD THANKS (Located in Lower East Side)

This is an Australian coffee shop that offers lots of delicious options in a narrow little space on the Lower East Side. They have plenty of healthy options, like avocado toast, grain bowls and zucchini fritters. If you’re in the mood for some granola with fruit and algae, they have that covered as well. Thank us later!

 

BAR PRIMI (Located in East Village)

Bar Primi is loved by plenty of New Yorkers for two reasons: it’s easy to make reservations and they have amazing pasta. Our favorites from their menu include but are not limited to: ricotta crostino, stuffed meatballs and pomodoro baked eggs. Enjoy!

 

DUDLEY’S (Located in Lower East Side)

There’s something about being in the Lower East Side on a weekend that just makes you feel alive. Dudley’s does not only have a laid back environment but also delicious food options. We love their burgers and chop salad!

 

BUTCHER’S DAUGHTER (Locations in Nolita, West Village, and Williamsburg)

This plant based restaurant is one of our favorites with its airy and stylish aesthetic. They don’t take reservations so definitely try to go early in the morning or sometime after the brunch rush. We recommend their cult-favorite avocado toast and delicious burger! Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
