ABC KITCHEN

The ABC Kitchen in Union Square is a prime example of restaurants that use the freshest, organic ingredients. This restaurant is one of our favorites because they care about the environment, emphasize the importance of sustainability and use local food providers whenever possible. Definitely get their gem lettuce and summer squash salad with a side of hand cut fries as a starter.

OLMSTEAD

Did someone say rustic, simple dishes? If yes, you need to try this restaurant. The seasonal menu of Olmstead is a must-have in our book! Located in Prospect Heights, it offers fresh herbs from a backyard garden, which also holds a repurposed bathtub with fish. Opt for their carrot crepe if you’re feeling adventurous.

THE LIGHTHOUSE

Located in Williamsburg, the Lighthouse is not only extremely delicious but also keeps farm-to-table dining accessible. They work with local farmers and use reusable to-go containers, which makes them extremely eco-conscious. Don’t forget to try their salad shakshuka with tomato chile, soft egg, and tahini.

Want a satisfying meal at a restaurant that advocates for ethical farming? Look no further. The well known restaurant supports local businesses and uses only the finest and freshest ingredients available. Try their Family Meal which is Blue Hill Restaurant’s pop-in for the Summer. It’s menuless, casual and family style.

BELL BOOK AND CANDLE

We love Bell Book and Candle because they get a ton of their produce from the Tower Gardens (aeroponic growing systems) on their rooftop. We would definitely recommend the rooftop wedge salad and the homemade burrata.
